“The Cheney Blackouts”?

So what do you think about the idea of making a connection between California's rolling blackouts, caused by companies gaming the system, with the Northeast blackout, caused by a regard for short-term profit over long-term reliability, and the two of them with the intentions and actions of the Administration, symbolized in this case by VP Cheney (with the emphasis on ‘Vice’)? Looks to me like a straight line.

Although I claim not to be saying what I think Belisarius would say, here's an exception: I believe Belisarius would have considered John Dean to be an honorable man. It's weird that you can say such a thing about someone who signed on with Nixon under, as far as we know, no compulsion. But it does seem to be true.
